Terms & Conditions of Sale

On receipt of written confirmation of acceptance of quotation this order is final and binding on the parties subject to the following conditions:

  1. Delivery: The seller will endeavour to secure delivery of the goods by the estimated delivery date (if any) but does not guarantee the time of delivery and shall not be liable for any damages or claims of any kind in respect of delay in delivery.
  2. Fitting: All areas where carpets are to be fitted must have items of furniture removed, old carpets uplifted and removed, and door clearances must be suitable, otherwise additional costs will be applied and required to be paid before the work is undertaken. Please also note that the moving of electrical equipment, i.e. televisions, music or satellite systems and white goods, i.e. washing machines, fridge freezers etc. is not part of the contract. Saint James Carpet Centre Ltd are not and shall not be liable to any loss or damage to any fixtures/fitting or above-mentioned items, cabling running below or round skirting etc.
  3. Payment: Accounts are due for payment in full within SEVEN DAYS of delivery or completion of work whichever is the latter UNLESS OTHERWISE ARRANGED IN WRITING BEFORE DELIVERY IS MADE OR WORK STARTED. The purchaser undertakes to pay a surcharge of 2.5% per month on the invoice price on overdue accounts until such time as payment is made in full. Prices include VAT.
  4. Ownership: The goods shall remain the property of St James Carpets Centre Ltd until such time as the account is paid in full.
  5. Complaints: Notification must be made in WRITING by the Purchaser to Saint James Carpets Centre Ltd WITHIN THREE DAYS of delivery or completion of the work in the event of a complaint in respect of the goods supplied.
